RE: Datacenter Outage and Loss of Service
As you may be aware, Micfo experienced a devastating business downturn in 2019 which we spent the
past 12 months recovering and rebuilding from. Combined with the recent COVID-19 pandemic our
business has, unfortunately, been further impacted and we have been unable to collect payment from
80% of our customers. On Thursday, May 7, 2020 at approximately 03:30 AM GMT the datacenter
hosting your data shut off our services.
We have spent the last 48 hours working with all levels of management to structure a deal with a
sustainable repayment plan which would restore service and allow Micfo to continue providing you the
service that you’ve entrusted us to deliver. We have escalated to the highest levels possible but the
datacenter provider did not accept the proposal and due to the large outstanding balance, Micfo is
unable to pay the amount required for service to be restored.
It is our understanding that all of the customer data is still intact but no longer accessible to us. As
previously shared on Twitter, we will continue to do all in our power to recover customers’ data and if
we are able to resolve the issue and get our servers released from the datacenter, we will identify each
customer’s data and provide it to you. The recovery could take weeks or longer, will be best effort and
cannot be guaranteed.
We thus advise you to look for an alternative hosting provider and we will assist in releasing and
transferring your domain name(s) so that you can provision services with a new provider ASAP. To
request assistance with domain transfers, you should create a ticket via the client portal at
............... . Alternatively, you can send email to ........................ .
To request a refund in accordance with the terms of service ( ..................... ), please email
..................and include or reference the invoice that includes your eligible hosting services (e.g.
domains are transferable but non-refundable) that have already been paid for but were interrupted or
cut short by this outage as of 05/07/2020. Please allow up to 30 days for processing and we will
promptly review your request. We recognize that the refund in no way makes up for the impact to you
and your business and can only hope that you understand we did not want or expect this outcome.
While we will be unable to provide any copies or backup of customer data at this time, our engineers
will be working through the weekend to help any customers wanting assistance with release and
transfer of their domains.

Its unfortunate but i would have liked them to be open before they lost everything that way all their customers could have made sure they downloaded their own backup.

I got a backup a few days ago we had 48 hours access but it was useless i already built this one and the backup i got was outdated.
I do have some pictures members posted so if anyone wants them back in forum just let me know and i will post them in for you.
Also i have avatars so if you remember what you used again let me know and i will post them for you to use.
